Energy Monitoring System at the Elixir Prahovo factory

Design and implementation of a system for collecting data from multiple remote locations on the Yokogawa Exaquantum Historian server for further analysis, energy consumption optimization and monitoring of specific process parameters related to plant operation. The system is based on modern SENECA Z-PASS2-RT-S and Z-TWS4-RT controllers for local data acquisition and processing. Data transmission is performed via optical fiber network or wirelessly using SENECA Z-AIR1 radio antennas. Project implementation included the following activities:

  • Preparation of technical documentation and delivery of cabinets.
  • Development of the PLC application with implementation of various communication protocols: Modbus RTU / TCP, IEC 61850 and OPC UA.
  • Technical support during testing and commissioning of the system.
